Sean Winterburn
Founder & Director
Sandhurst was founded by Sean Winterburn, after more than two decades leading HSSE, ESG, sustainability and organisational risk across high-hazard operations and contested jurisdictions, including senior roles with Rio Tinto and South32.
Sean's work spans Europe, South and West Africa, Australia, India, South America and the Balkans: environments where projects were technically sound but exposed to regulatory challenge, community pressure or investor uncertainty.
Across all of them, one truth has been consistent: organisations create value when their commitments are transparent, deliverable and defensible, their systems are trusted, and their decisions can withstand scrutiny. Sandhurst exists to help leaders achieve exactly that.
